After opening their season with an impressive road victory inFrankfurt during Week 1, the Paris Musketeers returned home to christen theirnew Bauer stadium in front of their fans. Awaiting them were the Prague Lions, eager to bounce back from a heavy 47-13 defeat in their opener and now led byformer Paris Musketeers quarterback Jaylon Henderson.
At times inconsistent in the season opener, the Paris offensewasted no time delivering excitement to the home crowd this time around.Following a perfectly orchestrated opening drive by quarterback Zach Edwards, the Paris signal-caller found Hugo Tekedam at the back of the end zone for thegame’s first touchdown (7-0). At that point, it seemed the Musketeers were ontheir way to an offensive showcase in front of their supporters.
But Prague had no intention of folding quietly. Following aclever flea flicker, Jaylon Henderson handed the ball off to William Patterson, who then launched a deep pass toward Matyas Bily. Usually dominant, the Parisdefense was caught off guard on the play and could do nothing to prevent thetouchdown (7-6).
The remainder of the first half became far more scrappy, withboth offenses still searching for rhythm and confidence early in the season.Paris managed only a field goal to extend the lead (10-6), but Zach Edwardscontinued to keep the defense guessing with a balanced mix of passing and apunishing rushing attack. It was ultimately the Paris quarterback himself whogave his team breathing room. With just one minute remaining before halftime,Edwards powered into the end zone on a tush push touchdown to make it 17-6.
It comes as no surprise that the Paris Musketeers boast oneof the strongest defenses in Europe, and they once again proved it during Week2 of the 2026 EFA season. The defensive unit repeatedly pressured JaylonHenderson and consistently came up with crucial stops.
Even when backed up inside their own five-yard line, theParis defense stood tall. On three separate occasions, Prague was denied accessto the end zone and forced to settle for field goals, unable to crack theParisian wall.
Offensively, the Musketeers are still searching forconsistency. But when everything clicks, they can be devastating. That was onceagain the case when Zach Edwards connected with Hugo Tekedam for the receiver’ssecond touchdown of the night and already his third of the season.
To put the finishing touches on the win, running back JasonBofunda sliced through the entire Prague defense for another touchdown. For thefirst time this season, the Musketeers reached the 30-point mark while securingtheir second consecutive victory to open the 2026 campaign.
With this second straight win, the Paris Musketeers now sitatop the EFA standings alongside the Nordic Storm, who defeated the TirolRaiders on their side. Paris will return to Bauer Stadium on June 6 for ahighly anticipated matchup against the Munich Ravens.
