The Paris Musketeers made their highly anticipated 2024 debut with a convincing 41-14 victory over the Hamburg Sea Devils in front of over 15,000 fans in Bremen, Germany. The ELF’s all-time leading passer Zach Edwards threw four touchdowns and added another pair on the ground, giving him an impressive six total touchdowns on the day. Newcomer Austin Mitchell, who led the German Football League in receiving last season, dazzled with 4 touchdown catches and 152 yards in his ELF debut. Running back Jason Aguemon added 64 yards on the ground on 11 carries.
On defense, the Musketeers held the Sea Devils to 213 total yards of offense as defensive end Stanley Zeregbe, Amir Kilani, and a host of Musketeers defenders flew to the ball play after play. Zeregbe and Edris Jean-Alphonse led the way with 6 tackles each. Former CFL defensive end Valentine Gnahoua also made his presence felt with a punishing pass rush off the edge, giving the Sea Devils' offensive line all they could handle.
